ONINO - A big year in review

As the year draws to a close, the snow is falling outside and everyone is rushing from shop to shop to collect presents to put under the tree, we would like to take a step back and look forward to 2024 and recap the best year for ONINO so far.

This year was full of exciting events, conventions, inspiring contacts, new partnerships and much more. Let us take you behind the scenes and show you why 2024 was a year that will be seen as a fundamental milestone for ONINO's future in tokenized finance.

Tokenization - Our Past, Present, and Future

In 2024, ONINO has taken big steps forward to become a major player in the tokenization of financial and real world assets. It has not been easy, but it has been worth it.

Navigating the landscape of tokenized assets is a challenging task, especially when you do it like we do: abstracting the complex and making it as simple as possible. We entered 2024 with a strong foundation. Our testnet is running smoothly, our developer platform allowed anyone to become a smart contract developer, but we knew that the icing on the cake would be our flagship use case. A use case that would soon prove to be the growth driver for the entire ONINO ecosystem.

Little did we know that our own token sale platform, created in 2021, was the perfect starting point for creating the best tokenization platform yet.

The first hurdle to overcome was creating a platform that clouds the complexities of blockchain and packages it into an application that is easy, convenient and fundable. The second hurdle was to create an environment where tokenized securities could be launched, while complying with all regulatory requirements. The third and most important was to combine compliance with technological automation to create a standard for tokenization, issuance and distribution of tokenized assets.

At the time of writing, we have created a platform that enables standardised tokenized assets, minimises manual effort and maximizes compatibility. Our compatibility goes beyond EVM compatibility, we have extended the reach of tokenization beyond the confines of web3 and created a network of distributors that can easily plug in and connect to banks, financial intermediaries and financial advisors.

2025 will be the year when we can finally reap the rewards of our hard work. 2025 will be the start of global tokenization made by ONINO.

ONINO Tours the World

If you have been following us closely, you may have noticed that we have been attending several conventions around the world. Almost 2 monthly events have found their way into the team's calendar. To name just a few: ONINO was present at SXSW in Austin, Texas, an official sponsor at Paris Blockchain Week, part of the German delegation at Web Summit, we visited Singapore for the Token 2049, and many, many more.

For us as a team, these conventions have been crucial to the growth of our offering. While the connections made at these events take time and rarely have an immediate impact, they are worth more than a thousand emails or sales calls, and more importantly, they do one thing - put ONINO on the map.

Our global presence has connected us with key customers, partners and advisors who are helping us bring the vision of a tokenized future to life.

Our Very Own Network

At the beginning of November we announced the official launch of the ONINO Mainnet for April 2025. Something we've been working towards for a very long time, and we don't know who's more excited about it. Our team, our community, our partners or the world of traditional finance that will finally find a place where tokenization can truly flourish.

While the launch will be exciting, we have to remind ourselves that there were significant challenges to overcome. Creating a DAG-based blockchain and enabling EVM compatibility alone is not an easy task, and combining this with a system of public or private sub-chains is a task that has not been done before in the history of blockchain. We have faced some challenges when it comes to compatibility with opcodes and extensibility, but the team always finds ways to solve them.

Great insights for us came as we continued our conversations with institutions on how they can integrate tokenization. The option for hybrid (public/private) networks or custom compartments (what we would call a sub-chain) will go a long way when the real adoption of this technology comes.

We are confident that the ONINO network will play a crucial role in the future, and with improvements to the user experience, on and off ramps, banking compatibility and an on-chain security token registry, we are even more excited about what is to come after our big launch in 2025.

A Big Network of Partners, Advisors and Friends

In our journey, we have learned that a close circle of the right partners and advisors is an amplifier for personal and business growth. The best ones are the ones that become close friendships. We have created a vast network that gives us access to companies around the world to distribute tokenized assets, technology partners to enhance our platform and network, advisors to provide knowledge gained through centuries of hard work, and much more.

We're excited to announce our newest addition to the consulting team, Alexander Raiff. We will be introducing him in a more detailed blog post soon, but here are some early details:

Alexander Raiff studied at the same university as ONINO's founders, the KIT in Karlsruhe, Germany. He has decades of experience in leading positions in the banking industry. He has helped revolutionize the tech stack for many banks and has an invaluable amount of knowledge as well as an extensive network in the banking industry. He has also been in the blockchain space from the very beginning. We could not imagine a better fit and his support is extremely impactful for ONINO. You will see the first results of this cooperation next year.

In 2025, we will continue to focus on creating a network of like-minded individuals to strengthen our position, learn from experts and further increase ONINO's potential.

The Backbone - Our Community

It has not always been easy to manage a community and create what we have created, but it has been worth it. We know our community has not always had it easy, but they have stuck with us. So all we can say is: Thank you!

Thank you for every critical, euphoric and loving message we received. Even though the team can't be on social media or our community channels all the time, we hear you and we're proud to have you!

We want to make 2025 worth the effort and look forward to spending another year with people who support our vision, spread the word and create buzz for ONINO.

What Will 2025 Have in Store for Us?

No one can predict the future, but one can do one's best to accurately predict the most likely outcome. If you ask us, 2025 will be bigger than 2024. Much bigger. All signs point to tokenization being one of the hottest stories in finance over the next few years. Regulations are tightening to the benefit of issuers, technology is improving and institutional acceptance is at an all-time high.

We already have a full backlog of technical tasks, partnerships, distribution prospects and partners ready to go. And our sales lead pipeline is almost longer than we can manage. The most impactful projects take their time, but they will be worth it. Expect to see great things in 2025.

So there is only one thing left to say:

Let's celebrate 2024 in all its glory and then get back to doing what we do best: working on a tokenized future.
